The goal of the course is to give an overview of the most used machine elements: their function, application and design calculation basics. Students will familiarize themselves with static and dynamic strength, concept of shape strength, durability and safety as well as with the most usual defect mechanisms. Relationship between design calculation and technical documentation will be introduced.
