Description:
|
1. Provide students with fundamentals of signal and system analysis, modeling and simulation. The emphasis is on linear, time-invariant (LTI) systems, continuous or discrete. Provide students with hands-on experience on system modeling and signal processing using computers (MATLAB and SIMULINK or similar programs).
2. Gives students fundamentals of the Fourier analysis, Laplace and Z transform, which is the essential for many applications (DSP, communications, control, multimedia processing, …), for understanding most of the electrical and computer engineering literature. Knowing signals and systems theory is a prerequisite for the subsequent courses.
